FAQs

What is telepsychiatry?

Telepsychiatry provides convenience. It’s the use of HIPPA protected videoconference, allowing provider and patient video call, similar to a face to face appointment. Once an appointment is booked, a link is emailed and text to the patient as well as reminder for the appointment.

How are we different?

Unlike traditional practices, we see fewer patients, allowing us to provide the utmost care. Convenient care at your fingertips, no need to schedule months in advance.

What should I expect during my first visit?

During your first visit, we will begin to establish a therapeutic relationship. We will discuss your current symptoms, medical and psychiatric history, we will also look at family history to assess for patterns and develop a detailed treatment plan. Payment is also collected the same day at the start of your appointment if self pay.

Can you prescribe medication?

Yes! Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners are masters and doctoral-level prepared professionals to provide psychiatric care, diagnose and prescribe medication.

Do you offer therapy?

At this time, We do not offer talk therapy, however if you are looking for in-depth psychotherapy, referrals and other resources may be available to assist with finding a therapist. We provide supportive therapy during medication follow up.

Do you take insurance?

Yes! Here is a list of insurances that we take. We will always run an eligibility check first prior to your first appointment!

Do you accept Self-Pay patients?

Yes we do! The rate for an initial evaluation is $300 and for each follow up appointment is $150. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover, we do not accept checks or cash at this time.

Why is there a fee for missed appointments?

Appointments are held with the understanding that the client will be seen that day, while others are denied for that date and time, please be aware that if appointments are not cancelled 24 hrs prior to visit. You will be charged $ 50 for missed appointments.

What do I do in case of an emergency?

In case of a life-threatening emergency such as suicidal, homicidal thoughts and feeling unsafe call 911 to be evaluated at the closest hospital. It is also important to know your local crisis team.
